Best Friends-Dogs

Dogs were one of the first animals for human,and dogs are the most friendly to people.In my city,many family have a dog,and love it very much.Today,I want to show more fun facts about dogs.

All dogs can be traced back 40 million years ago to a weasel-like creature called the Miacis which dwelled in plants and dens. The Miacis later advanced into the Tomarctus, a straight forbearer of the kind Canis, which consists of the wolf and jackal with the dog.

Little quantities of grapes and raisins can affect renal crash in dogs. Chocolate, macadamia nuts, cooked onions, or anything with the level of caffeine can also be hurtful.

In 2003, Dr. Roger Mugford invented the “wagometer” a machine that states to understand a dog’s correct mood by measuring the wave to and fro of its tail.

The shape of a dog’s face suggests how long it will live. Dogs with pointed, sharp faces that seem more like wolves generally live longer. Dogs with very level faces, like bulldogs, often have shorter lives.

An Us Animal Hospital Assoc. poll found that 33% of dog proprietors admit to talking to their dogs on the telephone and leaving answering machine communication for them while left.

Almost all but two breeds of dogs have pink tongues. The two exceptions? The Chow Chow and the Shar-pei, both with black tongues.
