The Chinese year is according to the cycles of the moon. This is known a lunar timetable. The Chinese new year is different every year, but is typically comes between the end of January and the middle of February. A total cycle of the Chinese calendar takes 60 years, or 5 units of 12. The Chinese calendar times back to 2600 B.C. It is the oldest famous calendar.

Every year is represented by an animal. There are twelve animals which represent the twelve months. I have read that Buddha named the years after the twelve pets that came to visit him before he left the world. The Chinese believe that you have some of the characteristics of the animal representing the year in which you were born.

The red color in the flag stands for the blood shed triggered during the revolution while the better star stands for management and the smaller stars for the classes (peasants, workers, bourgeoisie, and capitalists).In Chinese culture, red color is the traditional color of the Chinese people, used for wedding dresses. It is also considered lucky and used widely for celebrations and streamers.

The Great Wall of China is probably the greatest known set ups in China. It is also one of the wonders of the world.The Terracotta Army or the Terracotta Warriors is the most visited sites in China. It is also considered as an archaeological surprise on the earth.
