Calla,also called Calla lily,looks like the long and yellow funnel.Though called a lily, Calla lilies are not really lilies.Calla lilies are very popular for the wedding bouquets.And they have many different colors.Such as yellow,white,purple and pink.Calla are so popular and are there any fun facts about them?

Calla lilies have long-petioled, basal leaves arising from a thick corm. The inflorescence, on a leafless bloom pursue, cluding a spathe and spadix. The spathe, a great, flaring, trumpet-designed bract, surrounds the spadix which is enclosed with little flowers.

Calla lilies regular between 1 and 3 ft high and have a diameter of roughly 1 to 1 and 1/2′ feet when wholly full-grown. The Calla lily leaves are 1/2′ long, rich green. The green leaves of the calla lily are designed like arrowheads and have white or silver speckles.

Calla is a peak type of twenty-eight varieties originating in Africa and rising typically in swampy places.

Calla lilies are grown from bulbous roots with finger-like growths. These are famous as tubers.The word Calla comes from the Greek term for good-looking.

Calla lily grows from bulbs. They even produce many bulbs. So these bulbs can be replanted.Calla lilly is better known as a wedding flower, and even it is seen at funerals as well.
